Lingaraj Temple is situated in Bhubaneswar, Khurda District,Odisha state , India.

Lingraj  means king of Lingas. The Lingaraj Temple represents rich leagacy of Indian Architecture, traditions and culture.

THE Lingaraj Temple is largest temple in Bhubaneswar. The central  tower of the temple is 55m tall. The temple was built by Somavamsi Dynasty  with later additions by Ganga rulers.. The temple represents kalinga architecture. The temple complex has 50 other temple covered by large compound wall. The temple is built in Deula Style that has four components.Vimana-Structure containing Sanctrum, Jaganmohana-Assempley Hall, Natamandira-Festival hall, Bhogamandira-Hall of Offerings  

      

                                               Bhubaneswar is called Ekarmra Shektra as noted in Ekramra purana of 13^th century.

Unlike other temples deity is worshipped  as Harihara the combination of Shiva and Vishnu.Tulasi Leaves along with bela leaves are used for the worship of lord

.

Shivaratri is the main festival , when laks of piligrims visit this place. On ther days it has got good turnout of piligrims.
